When is a software solution required in connection with a scale?
If the operating software in the weighing terminal does not meet your requirements, weighing software can be connected. Operation then takes place entirely on a PC. This allows for convenient yet simple operation with extensive databases and an unlimited number of data records.
A major advantage of our software is its modular design, which makes it possible to offer a product that is perfectly tailored to your needs.
Our proven WD4000 weighing software is available in numerous versions for different industries with additional modules.
The basic module includes master data acquisition, weighing, evaluations, data import and export,
weight output to a large external display, traffic light control, etc.
All terminology in the masks and on the printouts can be customized individually in a database, including by the customer. Consequently, all fields can also be translated into foreign languages.
Industry-specific solutions are available, for example, for biogas plants with driver operation via handheld radio transmitters
.
For working on multiple PCs within a network, an additional module for 3 further workstations is available. For more than 4 workstations, a database server module can be installed. If weighing needs to be performed from multiple workstations, the weights and measures office requires a calibrated weight display to be visible on the screen. The “PC ScaleView” additional module is installed for this purpose.
If the WD4000 weighing software is to be controlled via driver self-service, further additional modules for RFID card readers or QR code readers and/or touch operation can be activated.
With another additional module, it is possible to generate weighing slips directly as PDFs, so they can be sent easily and conveniently by email.
The latest module is adapted to the Substitute Building Materials Ordinance (Ersatzbaustoffverordnung), which came into force on August 1, 2023, with various transition periods. Here, it is possible, for example, to set up the logging of organoleptic findings for incoming weighings, the printing of the quality-monitored body, and other information for outgoing weighings.
What can I do if I have already mapped my scale in my ERP system or wish to do so in the future?
For customers who already use a software solution but also want to implement automation in the form of driver self-service, we have programmed an open interface called SoWaS.
This allows the third-party software in use to read and transfer data, call up desired masks for data entry on the touchscreen, and display photos, instructions for the driver, or site plans.
We would be happy to inform you or your software provider about the convenient communication options with SoWaS.
