Why should you make use of regular quality assurance for your scales?
Your scale is a high-precision measuring instrument. You must be able to rely one hundred percent on it always working reliably and with absolute accuracy.
Regular servicing of your scale ensures exact measurement results and trouble-free operation.
In addition to the mandatory calibration interval, we recommend an annual inspection of your scale—our quality assurance—to avoid downtime. Additionally, damage such as corrosion can be detected early, and serious consequential damage can be countered in good time.
We offer attractive service packages for regular inspection / quality assurance of your weighing systems, regardless of the manufacturer.
The following points are carried out during quality assurance:
- Basic cleaning of the load cells and the cable junction box
- Inspection of the mechanical structure
- Visual inspection of the scale bridge and the pit
- Inspection of load cell installation components such as pressure pieces and fastening parts
- Inspection of cable connections for damage
- Inspection and possible adjustment of the bumpers to limit the bridge within the pit
- General functional test of the scale and verification of weight values using a payload to be provided on-site with a dead weight of 10% of the scale’s maximum load, e.g., a forklift or wheel loader. Alternatively, a 50t calibration vehicle can be provided for a fee.
- For printing units, the ribbon is checked, and any metal or paper residues are removed
- Inspection of all cable and plug connections on the weighing terminal, printer, PC, and peripheral devices
- Application of a maintenance sticker for documentation
- Creation of a test report
